One Mum, One Son, Travelling the World.

Hello and welcome onboard the 0800 hours child-friendly flight to everywhere! People might think that travelling the world alone with a small child is daunting and trust me, it can be, but if your wanderlust can no longer be held back… you’ve come to the right place.

Added to the mix in my case is the fact that my son, we’ll call him “Pumpkin”, also has a number of additional needs: visual impairment, ataxia and the most recent diagnosis, autism. Have we ever let this stop us exploring this magnificent world, have we eckers like (translation: No!). During Pumpkin’s 9 years we have travelled to as many places; South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, the United States, Dubai, Corfu, Lanzarote, France and Italy. We also love a good ol’ British Festival and camping in the rain.

I am an independent mum, film maker and mature student seeking adventures and wonderful memories for me and my Boy aka Pumpkin. Travelling does not have to be expensive and my mission is always to achieve quality through our experiences more than in luxury hotel bedding.

Pumpkin is a train-mad, Minecraft and YouTube fan who is brilliantly brave, seriously strong and awesomely adventurous.

Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!

You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You’re on your own. And you know what you know.
And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go.

~ Dr Seuss

Thank you for joining on this ever interesting journey. My first blog post on our trip to America can be found here.
